Houthi militias and forces loyal to ousted former President Ali Abdullah Saleh shelled the villages of Taiz province, in response to the victories and advancement of Yemeni Armed Forces, with close air support from coalition aircrafts, west of Taiz, and Mokha city.

Clashes are ongoing in Naham, east of Sana'a, and in Midi  and Harad districts, on the border points with Saudi Arabia, in light of the army troops' advanced and inflicting the militias great casualties and material losses, including the killing of coup's leaders.

Military sources confirmed the killing of Houthi leader, Muhammad Ali al-Shami, and three of his companions after being targeted by military forces, down Farah Mountain in Naham.

Fighting continued between the coup's militias and Yemeni army in the city and the countryside, accompanied by constant bombardment by the Houthi and Saleh militias on villages and several residential quarters in Taiz province. Meanwhile the Yemeni army repulsed the militias' attacks. The clashes between the two sides left many deaths and injuries, in addition to the deaths and injuries of civilians.
