Petroleum Minister Tarek el Mollah stressed on Sunday that stepping up exploration works in maritime areas, especially those of high petroleum and gas possibilities, requires expanding maritime activities and developing performance of maritime units.
Molla, during a meeting with the general assembly of Petroleum Marine Services Co. (PMS), underlined the importance of installing more platforms and making necessary maintenance of maritime facilities.
He also called for rehabilitating human cadres operating in petroleum activities to face expected expansions in petroleum projects.
The PMS is the premier Egyptian offshore construction and marine services company, one of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) companies that have been established in 2001.
