Chairperson of Egyptian Football Association (EFA) Hany Abu Reida denied the reports over renewing confidence in the national team's coach Hector Cuper. He stressed that the Argentinean coach will remainin his position until the World Cup scheduled to be held in Russia 2018.

He praised the performance of the Egyptian national team during the African Cup of Nations held recently in Gabon, saying that the team managed to achieve positive results during the tournament led qualified it for the final round.

He expressed, in a statement to "Arabs Today", his confidence in Cuper, saying he has the full powers to lead the team during the coming period to resume his current success.

He raised the necessity of keeping the coaching staff, as they have major competitions, stressing his frustration for not winning African cup, while he praised the positive results. He stressed that the main objective for the national team during the cuurent period is to qualify for the World Cup.

He added that the coach has the right to choose the suitable players saying that they will not interfere in his decisions in this regard especially that he achieved good results
