Fashion designer and member of the National Council for Women ,Mary Louie told “Arab Today” that she is interested in eliminating industry problems in Egypt and getting back the attention on Egyptian cotton . She said that the strategy used exporting field was depending on exporting low budget and materials products ,so we change it to focus on Egyptian cotton with high quality ,making textile factories start to produce good fabric to make good Egyptian clothes that can be exported .

She added that she is working with National Research Center and the Parliament in four different projects concerning the cotton ,saying that instead of importing cotton with medium and short length ,we should plant it in western Minya .

For her position in the National Council for Women ,she is working on a project calls “Economic empowerment of women to support National industry “ , this project focuses on training women to professionally harvest long staple cotton and separate impurities, while preserving the purity of cotton almonds, and teaching them the errors to be avoided in the agriculture and harvesting stages.

This project also encouraging to raise the efficiency of both farmers and land owners especially the woman who is considered to be a valuable element in flourishing the economy. The project is a joint effort between associations of rural women leaders for training ,privately owned textile factories, Cotton Research and Development Center and ministries of Agriculture and Industry ,along with the Egyptian   Al - Bishara Fashion Company , working on providing the proper atmosphere for the Egyptian peasant and his family and giving him financial support according to the governmental statement presented to the Parliament regarding this issue .

The artistic leader Nawal Al-Masiri who started working with women from Shindawil Island in Upper Egypt on embroidery with tulle which was considered a dying profession inspired by pharaonic temples ,but she worked with UNESCO to revive this Egyptian heritage .

She was surprised when she got a call from “Dior” to obtain some tulle cloth ,which was used by Galiano in a collection called “Egypt” in 1997 . Her latest designs for 2017 spring is a crepe shirt with a distinctive V shape from behind using lace . She also designed a white jacket , a Chiffon blouse that can be worn with black pants and a  very different black blouse ,confirming that she adopted simplicity in all of her designs .

In the Egyptian fashion week , she designed a lot of dresses ,including a tight wedding dress from the top and wide down and a slim detail , beige Chiffon dress combing between Lace and satin and a dress of black hill layers beaded with feathers and crystal which is considered to be her favorite .
