Britain's chief Brexit negotiator David Davis on Thursday urged EU leaders meeting at a summit next week to "take a step forward" and agree to unlock trade talks.
"I hope the member states will recognise the progress we've made and take a step forward in the spirit of PM's Florence speech," Davis said, referring to Prime Minister Theresa May.
Davis was speaking after the fifth round of bargaining with the EU's negotiator Michel Barnier.
