The German Development Bank (KFW) has an agreement to grant 44 million euros to Jordan to finance the second phase of a project supply energy for host communities and Syrian refugees in the country, Jordanian news agency Petra reported.
The project aims to reduce the cost of energy consumption through using renewable energy by 30-35 megawatt, the Jordanian Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation said in a statement.
The grant came as part of Germany's pledged commitments to support Jordan, during the London conference on support of Syria and the region, which was held in February 2016.
