Egypt's Finance Minister Hany Qadri has said the government seeks to bring down the budget deficit while maintaining high investment and saving rates.
"We are moving forward to regain investor confidence by shifting toward more business-friendly policies," he said on the sidelines of London's Telegraph Middle East Congress.
The minister said he will meet with officials of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to further boost cooperation.
The Telegraph Middle East Congress is a major business conference on Middle East investment held in London.
A major economic summit aimed at encouraging international investment in Egypt will be held on March 13 in the resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh.
The Egyptian government is seeking to attract more domestic and international investors at the three-day event.
