Tadweer, the Centre of Waste Management, Abu Dhabi, and Bee’ah, a leading and award-winning environmental management company in the Middle East, entered a five-year partnership to integrate and develop innovative waste management solutions, and also enhance environmental sustainability for the city of Abu Dhabi. .

The partnership will see the collaboration of specialists from Tadweer and Bee’ah, creating a road map for innovations and waste management solutions on the eastern side of Abu Dhabi Island. The deal represents the first co-operative effort between the UAE’s two leading companies, which aim to increase the diversion rates and contribute to a more environmentally sustainable future for the city.

"It is only through collaboration that we can provide optimal solutions for environmental sustainability. With a common goal, we are confident that through this partnership, we will be able to accelerate technologies that will improve operations and forge solutions for sustainable communities," said Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, General Manager of Tadweer.

"Working with industry leaders like Tadweer will not only cement our expansion in the UAE, but will also raise the standards of sustainability in the nation and a cleaner life for the people of Abu Dhabi and the UAE overall," Khaled Al-Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee’ah, said while commenting on the partnership.

The partnership utilises state-of-the-art smart fleet and waste management system to enhance collection services in the areas served in Abu Dhabi. The system includes bin asset management, fleet monitoring, route optimisation, driver performance management and incident management features. These features reduce the carbon footprint of its operational activities, in addition to the eco-friendly vehicles already in use.

Bee’ah and Tadweer are united in their commitment to raising awareness and education on environmental issues and sustainability measures among the general public of Abu Dhabi. The partnership between the two entities is a broad-based effort to support and accelerate the use of environmentally preferable practices already under way in the nation.
