Turbine Services & Solutions Industrial, TS&S Industrial, today announced it has expanded new capabilities for the repair and overhaul of the Siemens Industrial Trent 60 WLE variant. The new services have established TS&S Industrial as the first independently owned, specialised and independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider with the capability to support the Industrial Trent 60 WLE variant for Siemens.
The announcement was made during the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference, ADIPEC.
TS&S Industrial currently services the Industrial Trent 60 DLE, with the introduction of the new services extending the company’s service offering to support the full Industrial Trent 60 product portfolio with its two variants, DLE and WLE. Importantly, global operators of these turbines, including many within the oil and gas industry, will now have a new viable option in the Middle East, home to many of the world’s largest oil producing nations. TS&S Industrial has an established relationship with Siemens, and will operate the new variant capability from its state-of-the-art turbine repair facility, located within Abu Dhabi.
Abdul Khaliq Saeed, CEO at TS&S, said, "The expansion of our capabilities to become the first and only MRO to offer this service for the Industrial Trent 60 WLE variant outside of the OEM’s own facility is a reflection of our commitment to deliver on our promise to become a world-leading company. The growth of our service offering is in-line with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 by providing operators with localized access to technical innovations and equipment, as well as creating domestic operations for this vital service. The development of new capabilities plays an instrumental role in supporting the region’s critical oil and gas industry and will also lead to providing opportunities and skills for local engineers."
Offering distinct advantages for the oil and gas and power generation industries, the Siemens Industrial Trent 60 is the most advanced aero-derivative gas turbine available today, delivering up to 66MW of electric power in simple cycle service, at 42 percent efficiency. The Industrial Trent 60 has established a new benchmark for fuel economy and cost savings and offers operators fast delivery and installation times and beneficial performance.
