An Egyptian court has upheld death sentences against 20 convicts for an attack on a police station that killed 15 people, including 11 police officers.
The Cairo Criminal Court also sentenced 80 people to life in prison and 33 others to 15 years in jail. One minor was sentenced to 10 years and 21 people were acquitted, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The defendants were put on trial on the charges of terrorism, manslaughter, robbery and vandalism following investigations.
Assailants fired rocket-propelled grenades at a police station in the Egyptian village of Kerdasa, near the pyramids of Giza in August 2013, before burning the building down.
