At least 33 Syrian forces were killed in clashes with the terrorist Daesh group in Deir ez-Zor city over the past two days.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Human Rights, Daesh militants have launched several attacks on government troops, forcing them to withdraw from the areas which fall under their control east of Deir ez-Zor city.
Fierce clashes are still underway between the two sides in the city, the observatory added.
