Daesh terrorist group has launched counterattacks against the Syrian army and its allies in an attempt to hinder them from advancing toward al Bokmal city, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.
The London-based observatory added that Daesh elements raided al Quriyah town after it had been controlled by the Syrian forces a few days ago, Sky News channel reported Saturday.
On Thursday, local sources said Daesh terrorists built barriers on the entrances of al Bokmal city, located on the Syrian-Iraqi borders, and planted IEDs on its main roads and outskirts.
