The Moroccan researcher and the head of the princely band in Essaouira, Abdul Samad E'amarah, expressed his deep regret of the status of a artistic situation in Essaouira which known in the eighteenth century with the availability of orchestra made famous at the time.
E'amarah said, in an exclusive interview with Arabs Today, that history keeps the contributions of Essaouira in the Andalusian music.
Concerning his new artistic project in southern regions, Abdul Samad, oud player and the head of the princely band, stressed that this move was to document and write the heritage of Moroccan southern regions, and an additional step of his team's efforts to develop this ancient art through its participation in festivals and its composition of the first operetta titled "Religions in the service of man."
In the midst of his talk about cultural and artistic affairs in Essaouira, Abdul Samad did not hide his indignation regarding the emergence of a serious concept in the city, through the exploitation of its rich history to get rich.
