Algiers - APS

Syrian maestro Missak Baghboudarian, leading the National Symphony Orchestra, Algerian flutist Djamel Ghazi and Italian harpist and soloist Francesca Romana Di Nicola have celebrated, in the Mahiedine-Bachtarzy National Theatre, the Austrian great composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in all his creative passion. Syrian maestro Baghboudarian has installed mad magic of the opening of "The Marriage of Figaro" opera in front of room packed with large audience. An audience that was so amazed with the gracious mastery of Damascus-born musician, director of the Syrian Symphony Orchestra and even the children, many in the room seemed to hold their breath Soloists Djamel Ghazi with the flute and Francesca Romana Di Nicola with the Harp offered the audience an interpretation full of finesse of the Concerto for flute and harp, composed in 1778. Warmly applauded, they offered "Entertainment in D major" with fun and dancing accents that plunged the public in the freshness of childhood. Then the famous symphony number forty received multiples words like "Bravo!" and "Yaatik El Afia" (very good in Syrian dialect) for the highly appreciated maestro. A "Laâlaouie Dance" composed by the Algerian pianist Sid Ahmed Belli closed the concert which will again be performed Thursday night at Regional Theatre of Sidi Bel Abbes.
