German Ambassador here Julius Georg Luy and Daqhaliya Governor Ahmed Sharawy opened on Sunday "Germany Festival in the Nile Delta".

The German embassy in Cairo and several German Organizations are organizing a "Germany Festival in the Nile Delta" from October 29 through November 2.

The festival includes organizing numerous cultural, scientific and information events in four governorates; namely Mansoura, Shebin El Kom, Damanhur and Alexandria.

In addition to the German Embassy, several German institutions take part in the event; Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, the Goethe-Institute Cairo and Alexandria, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Archaeological Institute (DAI), the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the German Association for International Cooperation (GIZ), KfW Development bank in addition to German schools and the German University in Cairo.

With the Germany Festival in the Nile Delta, the participating organizations would like to present themselves outside Cairo, enabling citizens to get information about Germany and the activities of German organizations in Egypt.
