Russell Brand has revealed that he still feels fondly toward his ex-wife Katy Perry despite her accusing him of ending their 14-month marriage with a text message, Daily Mail reported.
The comedian, 41, discussed their short-lived marriage, blaming its demise on “the undulating nature of fame” and compared it with his “earthed” and “real” bond with now-girlfriend Laura Gallacher.
“I have come away from that experience and I still feel very warm toward her... When I hear about her or see her, I think ‘Ah, there’s that person, that person in the world’.”
Meanwhile, media reports said Perry will join the likes of Ed Sheeran, Radiohead and the Foo Fighters to perform at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, a huge green-field music event held in the countryside in southwest England.
Organizers unveiled the June 21-25 festival’s first line-up poster on Thursday, presenting a mix of singers and genres.
This year’s performers include the likes of British grime artist Stormzy, hip hop star Dizzee Rascal, R&B singer Emeli Sande as well as the Bee Gees’ Barry Gibb.
Rockers Radiohead and the Foo Fighters had previously been announced as part of the line-up as was Grammy Award winner Sheeran.
Lorde, Solange as well as Toots and the Maytals also join the more than 80 performers listed on the poster for the event, which is known for its muddy fields and wet weather.
“Can’t wait to see you and hopefully catch a cold lol,” Perry wrote on her Instagram page regarding her attendance.
Tens of thousands of people descend on the Worthy Farm site in Somerset for the five-day festival, where 2016 performers included Adele and Coldplay.
