The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, has received a delegation from Schneider Electric to build closer ties, and exchange experiences and best practices in energy management and automation.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, received the delegation which included Frederic Abbal, Executive Vice President of Energy Business; Hanan Darwish, President of Schneider Electric for the Gulf and Pakistan; and Nadir Al-Zoubi, Energy Vice President for the Gulf Countries and Pakistan. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA.
During the meeting, the Schneider Electric delegation was briefed on the major projects and initiatives that have been launched by DEWA to enable customers to access comprehensive, integrated and smart services that save time and effort.
Al Tayer stressed that DEWA gives great importance to the promotion of joint cooperation and effective partnerships between the public and private sectors. The meeting included the exchange of best international experiences, and the unique and innovative experiences between the two parties, especially the management of energy and automation, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), open and big data, cloud systems, and smart grids.
The delegation presented their latest line of smart solutions, and expressed its interest in participating in DEWA’s projects, stressing the importance of exchanging experiences and expertise.
