In his speech, Al Tayer expressed his appreciation for the efforts of partners from the public and private sectors, sponsors and supporting organisations from all over the world.

He also hailed the role of the media in supporting the vision and mission of the exhibition, saying, "I am honoured to welcome you all as we celebrate a long journey full of achievements and success over the last 19 years now, during which we’ve succeeded in joining up and consolidating global efforts to capitalise on innovations and technological advancements in the water and electricity sectors, promoting environmental safety and driving regional and global sustainability.
