Libyan crisis
Benghazi - Fatma Saadawy

An unidentified armed group stormed the headquarters of Libya's Ministry of Finance and kidnapped one of its officials on late Monday. According to sources, the ministry submitted a complaint over the kidnap of Nuri Erhoma , the director of Budget Department
The source added that the armed people haven not been intercepted, as they left the headquarters of the ministry rapidly. The ministry demanded the Libyan authorities to take the necessary measures to release the kidnapped official.
On the other hand, Turkey's Foreign Ministry announced to re-open its embassy in Tripoli after over two years of its closure, as it decided to close the embassy in 2014 due to the state of insecurity dominating the country since the ousting of former leader Muammar Gaddafi.
The Turkish authorities said, in a statement, that the decision to re-open the embassy provides an opportunity to the Turkish government to perform a major role in the efforts aiming to achieve peace and security in the country.
In the same context, the spokesman for the Libyan navy revealed that the coastguard intercepted 700 immigrants near the coast of Sabratha, as they were attempting to reach Europe. He added that the smuggler opened the fire of the security patrol, while it has not led to any injuries.
