Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Gamal El Shoubaky has said that President Mahmoud Abbas issued directives to the delegation of Fatah movement in Cairo talks to do its best for achieving inter-Palestinian reconciliation and end division.
In statements on the sidelines of reconciliation meetings between Fatah and Hamas movements currently in session in Cairo under the auspices of Egypt, he said President Abbas had described Cairo meetings as a historic chance to achieve reconciliation and serve the interests of the Palestinian people.
President Abbas is in constant contacts with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to reaffirm support for the Egyptian leadership's good offices to achieve reconciliation, the ambassador concluded.
