Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry returned home on Thursday, wrapping up a one-day visit to Jeddah during which he attended a four-way meeting meant to stop Qatar's support for terrorism.
The meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, in addition to US State Secretary Rex W. Tillerson and the Kuwaiti State Minister for Foreign Affairs.
In a press release, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said that the meeting took up the dimensions of the Qatari crisis.
During the meeting, Shoukry stressed Egypt's firm stance against Qatar's support for terrorism, asserting Egypt's adherence to demands presented by the four Arab countries to Qatar, the spokesman added.
Earlier, the spokesman said that the meeting reflected coordination between Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain in terms of future relations with Qatar and their firm stance against its support for terrorism and its interference in the domestic affairs of Arab countries.
