Dubai - Arab Today

The UAE Ministerial Development Council, presided over by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, held an extraordinary meeting today at the Dubai Airshow.

The Council discussed a number of topics on its agenda pertaining to the government affairs and ways to develop performance of the federal departments in the country.

In the legislative affairs, the Council discussed the latest developments to amend Federal Law No. 07 of 2002 regarding copyrights, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the country in intellectual property rights and creating a stimulus environment to research, development and innovation.

In government affairs, the Council reviewed recommendations of the Federal National Council regarding the reports of international institutions about the country. It also discussed a number of financial and governmental reports and statistics.

The Council also tackled a number of topics related to government service and work in the ministries and federal departments.
