Cairo - Arab Today

Minister of Petroleum Tarek al Mullah left here on Saturday for Toronto to take part in the International Convention and Trade Show that is organized by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC).

In statements before departure, the minister said the visit comes as part of efforts exerted to enhance strategies needed by the mining sector as well as exchange of expertise among officials of the participating countries.

The minister will also attend seminars that will be attended by 20 ministers from various world countries.

PDAC International Convention, Trade Show & Investors Exchange is the world’s leading Convention for people, companies and organizations in, or connected with, mineral exploration. In addition to meeting over
900 exhibitors and 22,000 attendees from over 100 countries, participants can also attend technical sessions, short courses and networking events.

The four-day annual convention held in Toronto, Canada, has grown in size, stature and influence since it began in 1932 and today is the event of choice for the world’s mineral industry.
