Somali President Mohamed Abdalla Mohamed arrived on Wednesday in Khartoum, leading a high-level delegation, on a two-day official visit to Sudan.
The delegation comprises ministers of foreign affairs, finance, agriculture and youth and sports.
The Somali president and accompanying delegation were received by Sudanese President Omer al Bashir along with a number of ministers and state officials at Khartoum International Airport.
During the visit, the Somali president is set to hold talks with his Sudanese counterpart and First Vice President of the Republic and National Prime Minister Bakri Hassan Salih.
Joint discussions between both sides will tackle bilateral and regional relations in addition to the issues of mutual concern.
The visit program also includes a tour for the visiting president in some Sudanese industrial and educational institutions while the visit will be concluded by signing joint agreements between the two countries.
Both presidents will hold a joint news conference in the Republican Palace in Khartoum.
