Ibrahim Salem Al Alawi, UAE Consul-General in Sao Paulo, recently visited the headquarters of the Municipality of Sao Paulo, where he was welcomed by the city's Mayor, Joao Doria and discussed with him business and investment cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, the mayor praised the strong relations between the UAE and the city of Sao Paulo, referring to his visit to the country earlier this year.
He also stressed the importance of having a UAE consulate present in Sao Paulo, where he said 90 percent of the largest Brazilian companies have branches.
The UAE Consul-General in return said that collective and joint work between the Consulate, the local government, and major Brazilian companies can enhance investment attraction and promote trade exchanges between the two sides.
