Egyptian actress Rania Yusef expressed her pleasure for participating in “The International” TV drama show currently presented in the Egyptian satellite channels, saying that she was intending not to participate in any drama works this year after the decision to delay “Mariam’s Blood” TV drama show, while she decided to change her vision after reading “The International” scenario.
She stressed that the scenario of the new series was the major factor to attract her to participate in the new drama show, saying that the new work provided her with an opportunity to present new role with a different idea. She stressed her keenness to diversify her role whether in drama or cinema, saying that the actor should turn to change the roles he performed and to diversify them to meet the aspirations of his fans in all over the Arab world.
She added, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, that the new work is discussing alienation within homeland with a new prospective, adding that, she had decided to skip this season, but she immediately changed her mind when she read the script. She told “Arab Today” that, the theme of this drama is a social one and close to the audience and she believes it will affect them, because it discusses personal issues to a lot of people.
She said that, she will play the role of “dry cleaning” girl, and this role is different and new to her career. She will be working with Bassem Samra and a group of other stars, and the series is directed by Mohammed Al-Naqali. She added that her role in the new series reflects the suffering of a large number of women living in the Egyptian community. She added that she participates in only one drama work during the coming season.
She added, "It is not a rule to participate in two drama shows every year. It depends on scenarios offered to me. It was supposed for me to participate in 'Mariam Blood', while it has been delayed for production reasons
She praised her cooperation with Egyptian superstar Bassem Samra, saying that it is not the first time for her to participate with the Egyptian actor. She added, “We participated together in ‘Al Hara’ TV drama show. I enjoy working with him and all the staff of the series, as I view them all as my friends.” She expressed her aspiration that the new TV drama show will achieve the required success to meet the aspiration of fans, stressing her confidence that it will gain the attraction of audience during the current drama season of Ramadan.
She stressed that she faces critical conditions in her work, saying that it is extremely difficult work. She praised her participation in her new drama show “The International” presented currently in satellite channels, saying that What attracted me to participate in this work is its difference from her previous works.
she received a new offer to participate in a cinematic work, saying that she currently works to consider it to decide whether to accept it or not. She added that she apologized for refusing a number of offers during the recent days as they do not have any difference from what she presented before.
She expressed her love to her daughters, saying that they are the most precious in her life. She stressed that she deals with them as friends, praising the role performed by her husband, saying that he is keen to push her forward in her career, as he understands the nature of her work and challenges facing her.
