Information Affairs Ministry Undersecretary Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahar attended a workshop on how to engage with the financial and administrative responsibilities and reports of the National Audit Office (NAO).
The three-day workshop at the ministry’s training centre discussed some of the cases mentioned in the NAO report as well as suggestions and recommendations on the measures and mechanisms to cooperate with the NAO.
The participants were also briefed on important aspects that included an explanation of the most important articles contained in the NAO bylaws Law related to its powers and jurisdiction, the various types of supervision it carries out, the various stages of oversight, its role at each stage, best practices to deal with the observations and respond to recommendations and the mechanism used to prepare and issue the annual report.
The participants had a hands-on opportunity to assess their new knowledge through practical applications.
The workshop aimed to provide participants with the ideas and necessary tools to deal with NAO recommendations and prepare for their implementation.
