The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, on the sidelines of the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, Shaikh Khalid expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s intent to reinforcing its relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan, mainly in light of the common desire and availability of numerous opportunities and potentials that could push bilateral ties forward in all fields for the benefit of both friendly countries and peoples.
Shaikh Khalid also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Dato' Sri Anifah Aman and hailed the advanced level of bilateral relations at all levels in light of the care accorded by the two leaderships, praising the Malaysian development experience and the country’s stances in support of the Islamic causes. .
For his part, the Malaysian Foreign Minister expressed his country’s keen desire to further develop bilateral ties and cooperation areas, hailing the multilevel boost being witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
And during a meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Chad, Ibrahim Hussein Taha, the two ministers exchanged views on how to develop relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Chad at all levels for common benefit and to broaden prospects of joint cooperation and consolidate coordination on various issues.
