Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received this evening at Zabeel Palace ministers, ministries under-secretaries, assistant under-secretaries and senior officials of federal government authorities who extended greetings to him on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The evening was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Sheikh Mohammed said he was satisfied with the performance of the federal government and other government entities, adding that all officials are contributing to the progress of their country and to the welfare of their community.

"All of us in the civilian and military fields, the ministries and the federal and local departments, are one team that seeks the progress of our country and we will continue our sacrifices , efforts and endeavours for the sake of our country, people and community,"he said.

He continued by saying: "We look forward to exerting further efforts and coming up with creative ideas to drive the sustainable development at all levels and to maintain our country as a role model for excellence, giving and transparency."

Sheikh Mohammed also emphasised the importance of knowledge and the knowledge-based economy, as well as the need to provide decent living standards to citizens across the UAE, in line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the close follow up of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, who dedicates his time and efforts for serving his country and his people.

In attendance were H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of Emirates Group, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development.

Sheikh Mohammed and his guests performed the Maghrib prayer. He hosted an Iftar banquet for the guests.
