Arab foreign ministers have called on the US to remove Sudan from a list of state sponsors of terrorism.
At the end of their 147th meeting, the top diplomats praised a decision to lift economic sanctions on Sudan.
They also urged the UN to end the work of its mission in Darfur now that security and living conditions in the region have improved.
The foreign ministers also voiced support for development and reconstruction efforts in Sudan.
