French President Emmanuel Macron condemned the attempt of the Houthi coup militias to target the City of Riyadh with a ballistic missile. He reiterated his country’s firm support and solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against any threat to its national security.
In a phone call with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, President Macron stressed the necessity of confronting the Iranian activities which destabilize the region. He reiterated his country’s clear stance regarding the destructive role of Iran, which supports the Houthi militias and supplies them with the ballistic missile technology to target Saudi Arabia and destabilize the region. The French leader thanked the Saudi King and his government for their strenuous efforts to combat terrorism and extremism and dry up terror financing
