The second annual Maritime Standard Tanker Conference will address a range of top issues facing tanker owners and operators today, with a focus on cybercrime as a matter of growing international concern within the tanker shipping sector.
The event, which takes place on 24th October in Dubai, is expected to attract over 750 top executives and industry leaders from across the regional and international oil, products and chemical tanker businesses.
Trevor Pereira, Managing Director, said, "We have received phenomenal support from the shipping industry for this conference, including the backing of the world's biggest shipping organisation, Bimco. One of the highlights of the day is the presentation by Phil Tinsley, Bimco's Maritime Security Manager. This will be an informative session and a reminder that cyber security should be on everyone's agenda.
"This is quite simply the finest assembly of the best-known names in the region's tanker trade and related industries. We hope to add a few more high-profile speakers in the next few weeks," he added.
Aimed at key decision makers and high-level opinion formers within the industry, the event will highlight the main global and regional trends in crude oil, petrochemical products, chemicals and gas tanker operations. Attendees will gain a unique insight into the challenges and opportunities that exist in the longer term, not just for tanker owners and operators, but for all companies that provide services to this sector.
