President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inducted 13 Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the State Palace here on Wednesday.
The 13 newly inducted ambassadors are Amelia Achmad Yani for Bosnia and Herzegovina who will be based in Sarajevo; Dr. H. Husnan Bey Fananie, M.A., for Azerbaijan who will be based in Baku; Alexander Litaay for Croatia to be based in Zagreb; and Drs. Antonius Agus Sriyono for The Holy See to be based in Vatican.
Drs. Iwan Suyudhie Amri was inaugurated as Indonesian ambassador to Pakistan who will be based in Islamabad; Sri Astari Rasjid as ambassador to Bulgaria, Albania, and Macedonia to be based in Sofia; Wiwiek Setyawati Firman, S.H., as ambassador to Finland and Estonia to be based in Helsinki; and Dra. Hj. Safira Machrusah, M.A. (AS), as Indonesian ambassador to Algeria who will be based in Algiers.
Drs. Yuri Octavian Thamrin, M.A., was inducted as Indonesian ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, the European Union and other international organizations in Brussels who will be based in Brussels; Dra. Diennaryati Tjokrosuprihatono, M.Psi., as Indonesian ambassador to Ecuador who will be based in Quito; and Octavian Alimudin, S.H., LL.M., as Indonesian ambassador to Iran and Turkmenistan to be based in Tehran.
The other inducted individuals were Drs. H. Agus Maftuh Abegebriel, M.A., as Indonesian ambassador to Saudi Arabia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) who will be based in Riyadh and Drs. Tito Dos Santos Baptista as Indonesian ambassador to Mozambique and Malawi to be based in Maputo.
The inauguration of the 13 ambassadors was also attended by former president Megawati Soekarnoputri, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Consultative Assembly (MPR) Oesman Sapta, Chairman of the House of Representatives Ade Komarudi, and Deputy Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) GKR Hemas.
Chairman of the Peoples Conscience (Hanura) Party Wiranto, Chairman of the National Democratic Party (Nasdem) Surya Paloh, Chief of the Presidential Advisory Council Sri Adiningsih, and several cabinet ministers and institutional heads were also present at the event
