A bus station worth AED6 million will be built on the Mohammed bin Zayed Road in the Emirate of Ajman, to ease the movement of commuters from the emirate with other parts of the country.
The designs and objectives of the project were approved by H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, during a meeting with Omer Ahmed Omair, General Manager of the Emirates Transport Corporation in Ajman.
Omair said that the bus terminal is part of a series of projects that the corporation will implement in 2017, under Ajman Strategic Vision 2021.
''The 30,000-square metre station will have 30 slots for intercity buses, and will house administrative, commercial, recreational, parking and services facilities,'' he added.
Its location on the Mohammed bin Zayed Road will facilitate an easy connection with other emirates across the country, he further added.
