Red Sea Security bodies on Tuesday foiled an attempt to sell six tons of diesel oil on the black market in Marsa Alam city.
Red Sea security chief Hossam el Din Kamal was notified that security forces of Marsa Alam seized a truck lauded with six tons of diesel oil.
The driver admitted that he has collected a large amount of diesel oil from a number of gas stations in the Red Sea governorate in order to be sold on the black market in Baranees area.
All legal procedures were taken and the prosecution was notified to launch a probe.
In a related context, security campaign launched by the criminal investigation department resulted in arresting 135 suspects and 62 fugitives.
