Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) won the prestigious award "The Educational & Training initiative of the Year" in the third Middle-East Insurance Industry Award 2016 in a ceremony that took place in Dubai last week.
These awards are organised by the Middle East Insurance Review, which is the leading Middle East insurance publication recognising excellence. The participants were nominated following a review conducted by leading representatives from insurance industry, and audited by EY.
On this occasion, the BIBF’s Director, Solveig Nicklos said "We are delighted to be recognised this prestigious award as it reflects the efforts put in providing quality training and development for the insurance industry. The Centre for Insurance at the BIBF has supplied the regional insurance industry with skilled, qualified human capital since its inception in 1981. Its training solutions have served the insurance market in over 14 countries and the reach of its insurance qualifications is evident in many of the accomplishments achieved over the past two decades," he added.
She also said"The winners must stand tall to raise the bar and make an impact on the industry and continue to fulfill its expected growth."
The MIIA, now in its third year, is heralded as the premier awards of the MENA region with a clearly defined criteria and a transparent process served by a panel of 20 distinguished Judges. The judging panel, which was drawn from the domestic, regional and international insurance markets.
