His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at King Saud Palace.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the longstanding historic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which represent an exemplary model for inter-Arab relations. His Royal Highness also noted the importance of building on these strong foundations through further cooperation across trade, the economy, and on security matters.
The Crown Prince went on to express the Kingdom of Bahrain’s appreciation and gratitude for the strategic support and guidance it receives across all sectors from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. His Royal Highness added that the continued exchange of visits from the leaderships of both Kingdoms holds real value in further reinforcing strategic cooperation and coordination, expressing his hope that these meetings will further strengthen bilateral relations and collaboration across key areas.
His Royal Highness expressed his pride in the leading role Saudi Arabia plays in supporting the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and spearheading GCC-wide initiatives. The Crown Prince also praised Saudi Arabia’s leading efforts, alongside regional partners, in maintaining regional security and stability, and its effective contribution to the international campaign to defeat terrorism and eradicate it at source.
His Royal Highness, and the accompanying delegation, then attended a lunch banquet hosted in his honour by the Saudi Crown Prince.
