The Emirates Policy Centre, EPC, will hold its fourth Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate, ADSD, on 12th and 13th November, covering discussions on several topics, such as the soft power in the UAE, ways to develop and deepen it, and the illusion of Qatar’s strength in light of the current crisis.
More than 100 policy-makers, politicians and academicians will be among the 500 participants from the UAE, the Gulf states, the Arab region, and around the world.
During the event, EPC will present the latest methodologies for forecasting crisis and political risk, and for anticipating regional and international changes.
President of EPC, Dr. Ebtesam Al Ketbi, explained that the centre is keen on developing its capabilities in the field of political risk analysis and scenario-building, proposing optimal strategies, and providing forecasts with varying scales to serve the decision-makers in the country.
Dr. Ebtesam also added that in order to achieve this goal, EPC will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Acertas, a leading American company specialising in the development of software dedicated to forecasting and analysing political risks.
Strategic analysis software is used by policy-makers and think-tanks all over the world, specifically in the United States. EPC will be the first research institution to apply such methodologies and utilise this software in the region.
