H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Chairman of the Fujairah Foundation for Regions Development (FFRD), chaired on Wednesday the first 2017 periodic meeting of the foundation in the presence of Saeed Al Raqbani, Deputy Chairman of the FFRD, Khamis Al Noon, Director-General of the FFRD, and members.
Upon the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, the meeting endorsed the opening of societal councils and the appointment of Abdullah Khalfan Al Hamoor as general supervisor.
As per the meeting's resolution, a council will be set up in each region with a mandate to hold societal meetings to strengthen communication among people. Several councils will be opened, including Wadi Al Sidr council, which was set up at the expense of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.
The Fujairah Crown Prince stressed the need to speed up the implementation of projects to meet the needs of citizens, in line with the directives of the Ruler of Fujairah. He emphasised the importance of consolidating relations between the foundation and competent organisations, with common interest, praising the foundation for winning ISO 9001.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad honoured several distinguished employees at the foundation, urging them to exert more effort in service of the homeland.
