The joint talks between the Sudan and Chad, represented by the Sudan's West Darfur State, and the Chadian Wadai Region, held in the Chadian Adri city, came out with good results.
The Sudan's side was headed by the Wali (governor) of West Darfur State, Fadlul-Moula al-Haja Fadlul-Moula, while the Chadian side was chaired by the governor of the Wadai Region, Gen. Mohamed Bashir Okurmi.
The talks were held with the participation of members of the governments and the security committees of the two sides, the Sudanese General Consulate in the Chadian Abbchi city and its Chadian counterpart in El Geneina, cooanders of the Joint Sudanese - Chadian Forces and of leaders of the native administration led by Sultan Saad Abdel Rahman Bharal-deen, the Sultan of the Masaleet tribe, the head of the state's native administration.
The leaders of the two sides have appreciated the firm and deeply rooted relations and the common and social ties between the two sister countries.
The meeting has addressed ways to reactivate cultural convoys, trade exchange, the combat of smuggling and the control on the borders in joint coordination with the Joint Sudanese - Chadian Forces, which have played vital and growing roles in the border area since its formation in January 2010.
The governor of Wadai Region asserted that the meeting provided good evidence on the keenness of the leaderships of the two countries to maintain the distinguished relations between Sudan and Chad in various fields, declaring keenness to extend security and to maintain stability in the border area toward ensuring normal flow of life.
He lauded the experiment of the Joint Sudanese - Chadian Forces, calling on the bordering states to support these forces in implementation to the directives of the presidents of the two countries.
The Wali (governor) of West Darfur state, on his part has indicated importance of the distinguished relations between the two countries, stressing the support of common interests and social peace on boarders, referring to the model of joint forces.
He pointed to the role of the native administration in boosting efforts of the official authorities and the joint forces to develop the relations between the two countries in all domains benefiting from the extended social relations on both boarders.
He affirmed capability of official authorities to solve all problems occurs on the two countries boarders, revealing clear stance and support to the Chadian government.
