The Libyan Foreign Ministry greatly appreciates Egypt's stance against heinous crimes committed by extremist groups at Brak al Shati base, southern Libya, said Mohamed al Dayri, the Libyan top diplomat on Saturday.
The crimes left more than 100 Libyan service men dead.
Dayri, in a statement - a copy of which MENA received, said he had contacted a number of ministers and officials in Europe and Africa, as well as ambassadors of some of the permanent member states of the UN Security Council in Tripoli, to post them on the situation in the Arab country.
He called for a unified stance against the extremist groups to stop their heinous massacres.
Those groups cannot possibly be part of any political process in Libya, Dayri noted.
