UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Shaikh Abdulla bin Zayed Al-Nahyan today received Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri and discussed means of strengthening joint cooperation. The two sides reviewed latest Arab, regional and international developments and issues of mutual concern.
The UAE minister stressed deep-rooted decades-long bilateral relations. He commended coordination and consultation with Egypt to confront challenges and threats facing the region, particularly the scourge of terrorism, stressing the crucial importance of Arab solidarity to withstand all attempts to subvert the security and stability of Arab peoples.
Shukri also hailed outstanding relations binding Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, stressing his country’s keenness on further strengthening joint ties. He underlined the necessity of mustering all efforts to consolidate pan-Arab work and confront attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of Arab countries.
