The joint military exercise between the ground forces of the UAE and the United States has concluded.

The "Iron Union 5" exercise, which continued for two weeks, comes within the framework of the joint exercises of the UAE Armed Forces with fraternal and friendly countries to enhance their combat skills in a manner consistent with the latest developments and reflects their determination to stand firmly against all threats and challenges facing the GCC region.

During the exercise the forces of the two countries showed their professional skills in which live ammunition was used by ground and air forces of the UAE Armed Forces and the Third US Army.

The military exercise reflected the combat and professional ability in strengthening the concept of command, control and hitting targets with high precision and joint conclusion between the two sides. The final exercise was successfully implemented and achieved the desired goals and plans.

The final day of the exercise was attended by Brigadier Saeed Rashid Al Shehi, Deputy Commander of the UAE Land Forces and Major General Victor J. Braden, Commanding General of US 35th Infantry Division Fort, in addition to senior commanders and officers of the armed forces of the two countries.

The exercise was characterised by seriousness and integration in command and control, the application of combat strategies, unification of joint military concepts and the implementation of all stages of professional training between ground, air units and joint aviation with combat and technical capabilities. This gave full confidence to the participating forces to carry out any tasks assigned to them to defend pillars of security and stability in the region.
