The hunger strike observed by more than 1,600 Palestinian detainees held in Israeli jails has entered its 13th day while the health condition of most of them has deteriorated.
The action strike was joined by leading Palestinian political figures Marwan Barghouti and Ahmed Sa'adat as well as other Palestinian leaders imprisoned in Israeli jails.
The hunger strike was held in protest against the policy of medical negligence, detention without charge or trial, unfair trials and prevention of family visits by the Israeli prison authorities.
