Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a market in Pakistan's Parachinar city, the capital of Kurram tribal district on the Afghan border, killing and wounding dozens of people.
OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen described the attack as a criminal act that targeted innocent civilians and contravenes all human values and principles. He reiterated OIC's position that condemns violence and terrorism in all their forms and manifestations, whatever their motives and causes.
Al-Othaimeen expressed his sincere condolences to the government, people of Pakistan and the families of the victims who were killed by this evil crime, according to OIC statement.
He expressed the solidarity of OIC with Pakistan in its endeavors to combat extremism and terrorism. He also called on the authorities to identify and bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.
