The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, has strongly condemned the terrorist bombing of an oil pipeline in the Buri region of Bahrain.
The OIC Secretary-General, Dr Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, expressed the OIC’s full solidarity with the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain in combating all forms of terrorism seeking to destabilise the country’s security and stability, terrorise innocent civilians and damage public property.
He renewed the OIC’s rejection of meddling in the internal affairs of the Kingdom. The Secretary-General praised the safety measures taken by the Bahrain government to contain the effects of the fire and protect the lives and property of citizens in the area. The Secretary-General reiterated the principled position of the OIC, strongly condemning all forms and manifestations of terrorism.
