Coach of Egypt’s Zamalek football team Augusto Inacio admitted that his team was not at the required level in the first half of the Tanta match, stressing that it was better in the second half. He added that his players failed to seize the increasing opportunities to score during the last 15 minutes of the match. He added that Tanta defended well during the match, congratulating rival Ahly for the positive results it achieved during the current season.
He added that the match against Tanta does not reflect the performance of his team, saying that he works to develop the performance of the players during the current period. He added that he managed to strengthen the team’s defense, saying that they have not received goals during the recent matches.
He stressed the need for achieving victories to increase the confidence of the players during the coming period before the match against Ahly. He praised the team’s goalkeeper, saying that he managed to perform well during the tournament. He stressed his confidence that he will depend on the player during the coming tournaments, including CAF Champions League.
He added that he refuses to change the goalkeeper through the season, saying that he always depends on the most ready player, whether during the league, Egyptian Cup or continental tournaments.
