Hyatt Hotels Corporation has been named one of the 25 World’s Best Multinational Workplaces for 2016, according to global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE. Hyatt ranked No. 11 on the list, which is based on employees’ assessments of their jobs, managers, coworkers, opportunities for training and support for work/life balance, among other factors.
This is the third consecutive year Hyatt has received this global recognition from Great Place to Work®, following regional workplace accolades earned this year in the United States, Greater China, France, Germany, United Arab Emirates, India and the United Kingdom. In addition, this year Hyatt received the 2016 Gallup Great Workplace Award and was named by FORTUNE as one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials, 30 Best Workplaces to Retire From and 100 Best Workplaces for Women.
“We are proud to be recognized as a top multinational workplace for a third consecutive year. We are committed to creating a work environment where our colleagues are encouraged to be themselves, which helps foster authentic and meaningful connections with each other and our guests,” said Mark Hoplamazian, president and chief executive officer, Hyatt Hotels Corporation. “This recognition acknowledges all 100,000 colleagues, without whom our success would not be possible.”
Great Place to Work® research shows the number of organizations around the world named as a Best Workplace, or that have met its minimum standard of a great workplace, have almost doubled since 2011. The figure that year was roughly 2,200 workplaces with a total of around 6.1 million employees. In 2016, the number of great workplaces has reached approximately 4,100, with an aggregate of about 6.9 million employees.
“These organizations are well known because their brands appear around the globe
