Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths received a delegation from Abu Dhabi Airports Corporation, ADAC, on Sunday to provide an update on airport expansion plans and exchange views on industry developments. The visit also included a tour of Concourse D, Dubai Airport's US$1.2 billion facility that is home to 60 international airlines.
Commenting on the visit, Mr. Griffiths, "The rapid development of the UAE’s aviation sector has been the direct result of an inspired vision and a strong spirit of cooperation both of which form common ground and strong ties between Dubai Airports and ADAC. It was a productive and thoroughly enjoyable visit."
The Abu Dhabi Airports’ Acting Chief Executive Officer, Abdul Majeed Al Khoori, said, "Our visit to Dubai Airports was a welcome opportunity for our two entities to share knowledge and expertise as we both work towards making the UAE a global hub for aviation excellence. I look forward to the continuing partnership between our two airport groups, and to reciprocating the hospitality by inviting the team from Dubai Airports to tour Abu Dhabi International Airport and the Midfield Terminal Building in the very near future."
The ACAC delegation included Abdul Majeed Al Khoori, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Dan Cappell, Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Mohammed Al Katheeri, Acting Chief Operations Officer, Zamzam Al Hammadi, Acting Human Resources Officer, Laila Al Ameri, Acting Chief Financial Officer, Ahmed Al Shamisi, GM Operational Preparednes, Saoud Al Shamisi, Senior VP Commercial, Salem Al Marzooqi, Head of Corporate Affairs and Reem Mohammed Al Nowais, Head of Marketing.
Dubai Airports officials in attendance included Executive Vice President Commercial and Communications, Eugene Barry, Senior Vice President Assurance and Control Authorities, Majid Al Joker, Senior Vice President Communications and Reputation, Anita Mehra, and Vice President Terminal and Cargo Operations – DXB, Ali Angizeh.
