Emirates will start flying to Phnom Penh in Cambodia in the second half of this year as part of its daily service to Yangon, Myanmar.
The Dubai carrier will start flights to the Cambodian capital on July 1, the same day it starts non-stop service to Hanoi, Vietnam.
The Emirates Boeing 777-300ER will leave Dubai in the morning and arrives in Yangon, then depart for Phnom Penh after a 90-minute stopover. It will then reverse course to Dubai at night.
The connection between Yangon and Phnom Penh will be the only direct route between the cities.
The Cambodian capital completed an extension to its airport in March last year and expects 8 million tourists to flow through its borders annually by 2020.
